2026: Contagious Identity Ecosystem
Leadership by Design
LBD Perspectives
I’ve spent many months in 2025 re-engineering and redesigning what I do and how I do it.
Now, at 11 years into this business, one defining concept has emerged from everything I’ve done across sales, leadership, programme design, interviewing over 600 guests on The Lunchtime Series, writing The Future of Work Is Human, and years of deep work with people and organisations. All of it has led me to this point: designing an ecosystem of tools and assessments that form the foundation of what I now call Contagious Identity.
Here’s the thing. Contagious Identity isn’t “mine”. It’s not something I invented. It’s something I discovered. It emerged organically from over a decade of work, research, observation, lived experience, and quite honestly, stumbling across a truth that kept repeating itself.
Contagious Identity is about tapping into your own personal power. It’s about understanding and refining exactly who you are, what drives you, and why you are the way you are.
In the leadership programmes I’ve designed and facilitated, I started noticing a pattern. The leaders who truly do the work don’t just improve skills or behaviours. They tap into something deeper. They tap into their Contagious Identity.
They connect with what fuels them, how it fuels them, and almost inevitably, a clear and singular sense of purpose and identity begins to emerge. It’s not measured. It’s not dictated by frameworks, rules, or someone else’s idea of success. It’s not about compliance or performance alone.
It’s fulfilled self-empowerment. It’s a felt experience, an internalised force of nature. It’s choosing intuition over pure logic. It’s engaging a whole-brain system rather than operating from one dominant mode. It’s leaning fully into your internal “yes” and having the courage to pause when something feels like a clear “no”.
Contagious Identity is also the calm inside the storm.
When everything feels challenging, there’s something within you that keeps moving forward, quietly and steadily, refusing to be knocked down. It’s rising above the lunacy of leaders who thrive on drama. It’s opting out of chaos and choosing clarity.
It’s finding flow and stepping into it with ease. Not because life suddenly becomes easy, but because the identity you’re choosing to embody is empowered, grounded, and resilient. That identity begins to pull you forward.
Contagious Identity isn’t loud. It’s self-assured. It’s assertive without needing to dominate. It never comes from a place of lack. It seeks to multiply, not diminish. It compounds into something extraordinary over time.
It knows its own voice, with precision and clarity. It recognises that holding onto negative emotion for prolonged periods becomes debilitating, and that emotions themselves are not the enemy. They are intelligent indicators, signalling what your body, mind, or boundaries need in that moment.
It’s having the self-distinction to sit in vulnerability. To hold space for yourself and for others, without collapsing or hardening. It’s understanding that “wrong” isn’t bad. It’s feedback. Feedback about what not to do next time.
It’s recognising contrast as one of life’s greatest teachers. When you know what you don’t want, you gain a powerful reference point for what you do want.
This is Contagious Identity. Just a snippet of what you and I inevitably discover when we’re willing to do the work.
Along this journey, I’ve paid close attention to what leaders, parents, colleagues, and friends actually need. Not conceptually, but practically. I’ve focused on the fundamental building blocks people ask me about most:
“Where do I start?”
There are many valid starting points — but these are the assessments and tools we’re now integrating into the Contagious Identity Ecosystem to help people define, stabilise, and embody their own.
ValuesBluePrint.Online Assessment: When we are clear on what we truly value, we create strong internal pillars that help us make aligned decisions about our lives. Our values clarify what should stay, what needs to change, and where we may be out of alignment. This assessment explores your personal values and compares them with those of your partner and the business or organisation you are part of. The resulting report provides clarity on who I am, who my partner is, and where the gaps or tensions may exist. Values are largely conscious. We instinctively know when we are living in alignment with them and when we are not. As such, this assessment forms a fundamental building block in establishing a grounded and authentic Contagious Identity.
- 6HumanNeeds.Online Assessment: At the core of all human behaviour lie six fundamental human needs. Every decision we make, every pattern we repeat, and every emotional response we experience is driven by one or more of these needs being met or unmet. This assessment identifies which needs are most dominant for you and how they shape your behaviour, communication, leadership style, and relationships. While values tend to be conscious, human needs operate largely at a subconscious level. This means we often act first and rationalise later. When our dominant needs are met in healthy ways, we experience motivation, flow, and fulfilment. When they are unmet or met in unhealthy ways, we see frustration, conflict, burnout, and self-sabotage.The Six Human Needs framework brings clarity to why we do what we do, whether in leadership, parenting, partnerships, or work. It helps explain emotional reactions, recurring challenges, and behavioural patterns that logic alone cannot resolve.By understanding your needs profile, you gain the ability to shift behaviour consciously rather than being unconsciously driven by it. You learn how to meet your own needs in more empowering ways and how to recognise the needs driving others, reducing conflict and increasing empathy.Within the Contagious Identity Ecosystem, the Six Human Needs assessment is a core stabiliser. It provides the emotional and behavioural awareness required to build an identity that is resilient, self-led, and grounded, especially under pressure.
The next Assessments that we will add to these are:
- PurposeBlueprint: helps clarify why you do what you do by connecting your strengths, values, and lived experience into a clear sense of direction. It brings focus, meaning, and intentionality to how you show up in work and life.
- Leadership Index: The Leadership Index measures how you show up under pressure, make decisions, and influence others in real-world contexts. It provides clear insight into your leadership strengths, blind spots, and growth edges.
- Confidence Report – Self-Trust & Inner Authority Assessment The Confidence Report explores how you relate to self-belief, self-trust, and inner authority. It highlights where confidence is embodied, where it’s conditional, and how to build grounded confidence that isn’t dependent on validation or circumstance.
- Emotional Regulation & Resilience Profile This tool reveals how you respond emotionally under pressure, uncertainty, and change. It supports the development of calm, clarity, and resilience — especially in high-stakes leadership and life moments.
- Identity Alignment Audit The Identity Alignment Audit measures the gap between who you are internally and how you’re currently living, leading, or working. It brings awareness to misalignment and provides a practical reference point for conscious recalibration.
- Decision-Making Style Assessment This assessment highlights how you make decisions — logically, intuitively, emotionally, or reactively — and where those patterns serve or hinder you. It strengthens whole-brain decision-making aligned to your Contagious Identity.
- Energy & Focus Diagnostic This diagnostic identifies where your energy is naturally generated and where it’s consistently drained. It supports sustainable performance by aligning focus, boundaries, and workload with your natural operating rhythm.
- Behavioural Triggers & Patterns Map This tool surfaces recurring behavioural triggers and patterns that show up in relationships, leadership, and stress. By bringing these into awareness, it enables choice rather than automatic reaction.
Contagious Identity isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you already are without dilution, apology, or performance.
In a world obsessed with speed, noise, and external validation, this work is an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and build from the inside out. Because when identity is clear, decisions simplify. When identity is grounded, leadership stabilises. And when identity is embodied, impact becomes inevitable.
This ecosystem isn’t designed to fix you. It’s designed to reveal you.
And when people operate from that place - as leaders, parents, partners, and human beings - something shifts. Not just internally, but systemically. Culture changes. Relationships deepen. Work becomes more meaningful.
That’s the power of a Contagious Identity.
